It is not as stiff as I would like as there is movement at the fender edge. The bracket needs to be bent during fabrication to account for the slope of the hood of the gmc truck. I used a couple of washers on one side of the mounting hole to angle the bracket up so the antenna is not leaning way forward. I also had to raise it up a bit with a washer in the bolt. The 3/4” hole accommodates the NMO antenna attachment however the coaxial connection was rubbing on the fender, hence raising the bracket.
